| I have read the book and, of course, the book was much better. However, ignoring that fact, I found this movie .... no appeal. It is very rushed, which is expected for a movie 90 minutes, but did not have the depth to the film. There have been many adaptations of novels to movies that have been wonderful. If this movie has its own personality and zeal, I do not think we complain about the way it was done. However, it is very ... damsel in distress, no brains, and kind of boring. If the chemistry is better, if the actresses will add more personality, I think it would have been brilliant. I've been waiting for these films, because I heard they were coming out. I'm not saying this film was terrible or anything, I'm not saying "and the book was like this:" I'm just saying that it is boring. |
| First, I must say that I am a HUGE fan Nora Roberts. I read every one of his books at least twice, and the majority more than that. That said, if you've never read Montana Sky and like the typical life of the films, then this is for you. However, if you love the book then do not waste your time on this movie, it has just completed angry at how far from the book strays. I know it is almost impossible to make a film as good as a book, but this movie could have done much better job of at least remain faithful to the story. Some of the most important parts that make the book so great are completely left out or changed. I suppose it is too hard to adapt to a book of 500 pages in two hours, a period of time (including commercial). I am very disappointed in this movie. |
